Ms. Courtney has practiced family law for the last 32 years, concentrating her practice in the areas of divorce, distribution of marital assets, support and custody. She has represented CEOs, individuals with high net worth, as well as other professionals in addition to representing the spouses of said individuals.

Ms. Courtney has been honored by inclusion in Law & Politics Magazine and Philadelphia Magazine’s a Pennsylvania Superlawyer – an honoring the top 5% of all lawyers in the Commonwealth as selected by her peers statewide.

Each year from 2006 to present, Ms. Courtney has received a Distinguished Peer Review rating through Martindale-Hubbell system which attests to her professional ability and ethics based on confidential opinions of the local Bar and Judiciary. Martindale- Hubbell Distinguished rating is defined as follows: “An indication of exemplary reputation and well-established practice. A typical lawyer is in mid-career, with a significant client base and high professional standing.”

Ms. Courtney completed her basic mediation training as well as training specifically for family law issues from the Montgomery County Mediation Center. Ms. Courtney incorporates evaluative mediation from her wealth of knowledge from over 32 years experience as a family law attorney with a blend of transformative and facilitative types of mediation, to help parties develop creative and amicable solutions to their custody and other family law disputes.

Ms. Courtney is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.  Ms. Courtney received her basic collaborative practice training from Practical Collaborative Solutions LLC.

Ms Courtney also serves as a Parent Coordinator for high conflict custody cases. Ms. Courtney received her training from the Cooperative Parenting Institute.

Ms. Courtney is an active member of the Bucks County Bar Association, as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law section. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Ms. Courtney received her law degree from Widener University School of Law in 1993, where she was elected to Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity and her B.S. from the University of Delaware in 1990, where she was elected to Mortar Board and elected President of her senior class.
